A study conducted at Radboud University, Netherlands, has been published in the Journal of Consumer Psychology, reveals the best way to solve a complex problem is to not think about it.
Distract or sleep for several minutes, it will help the brain to work and think about appropriate solutions.
Because they are aware of and strive to overcome it, has a greater potential to get the answers wrong, than those who "put" first issue.
To find out, that distract or sleep will bring the right answers, lead researcher Maarten Bos of the Radboud University in the Netherlands asking some students to choose a model of the coolest cars, fuel efficient, and fastest flight.
After students read the specifications of the car, one group of them asked to make a choice of instant or instantaneous. While other student groups are asked to rest or do other activities for five minutes before making a decision about a car that fit the criteria earlier.
Apparently the students are given time to think able to choose a car with the best specifications. From there the boss may believe that a person has a subconscious mind is also "considering" the merits of a problem.
"The decisions taken in a calm state of mind will be better," said the psychologist. "Peace will allow us to distinguish between the important aspects and irrelevant."
