Safe Tips Using Public Toilets


Public toilets are an often-unpleasant place to visit for fear of contracting germs, toilet seats, wet, dirty tissue paper or no paper towels and a lack of disinfectant. Know how to safely use public toilets.
This condition makes people concerned or uncomfortable using public toilets. However, in certain circumstances inevitably someone will use public toilets both contained in a mall, restaurant or other public places.
"The condition of public toilets are dirty it can be breeding grounds for bacteria or other microorganisms," said Philip Tierno, Jr., PhD, director of microbiology at NYU Langone Medical Center, as quoted from the Prevention, Thursday (28/10/2010).
For that know how to safely use public toilets, which are

1. Try to avoid the middle of the bathroom, because in most cases where the accumulated more bacteria. Try to choose bathroom first possibility is cleaner and not much microorganisms.

2. Do not put your purse or wallet on the bathroom floor, though the floor looks clean. If there is a place purse hanger in there or hang the bag on the shoulder if there is no place to put it.

3. Before use, wipe the toilet seat in advance by using a tissue.

4. Pull the pants or skirt until it reaches the calf to avoid water spray, but not too low because the risk of touching the bathroom floor.

5. Clean and wipe the genital area while still in the squatting position, this condition is to prevent other body parts or clothing exposed to dirt.

6. Try to rinse (flush) toilets when it will come out of the bathroom, this is to prevent microorganisms from sticking to the toilet water body.

7. Remember to always wash hands thoroughly with running water and soap, but do not forget to dry them by using paper towels or electric dryer.
